We started our trip at 5:15am on Saturday morning.  We had packed the car the previous evening, so all we had to do was get up, shower, put the kids in the car and go.  Instead of going back to sleep, our kids ended up staying up until 1 in the afternoon before taking naps!  That could have something to do with the new DVD player in the car. ;-)

Ohio has to be one of the most boring places to drive through.  Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of things to do, but the turnpike doesn't have much in the way of scenery.  The only good thing we saw was gas for $2.66/gal. :-)

On the other hand, the drive through Pennsylvania was awesome!  The views were spectacular, although I wish there was more fall color (that'll probably happen in a couple more weeks). 

The drive though Maryland was nice, although we did hit some rainy weather about an hour from our final destination.

Overall, including the 5 or 6 stops we made, it tooks us around 11 hours to get from Coldwater, Michigan to Odenton, Maryland.
